Oztrack Tuning is an Australian Reseller of the EFIlive Digital Tools for onboard vehicle electronics.  This brand offers market leading scanning and tuning software. We also provide support & training for clients who purchase these tools from us. This extends to DVD Video Tutorials including audio commentary and on screen footage of the tools in action.

Oztrack Tuning also aims to provide a leading pcm tuning service for people who have cars with Gen III or IV engines. This involves doing both MAF and MAFless tunes on the cars.

The aim is to provide a service within the budget of regular car owners not just enthusiasts that race their vehicles.  All of our activities are willingly explained to the customer, and some are even given an introduction to the use and operate all aspects of the EFILive Tuning system.

Oztrack's Clubsport was the NSW Season Champion in 2005/2006 in "Super Street" Drag Racing it has run a best of 10.9/123mph. So we certainly know what to do to get maximum performance from these vehicles.  This car can accelerate 0 - 160kph in 7.0s and can still get under 10L/100km cruising at 110kph on the motorway.

Remote Tuning Support

Oztrack Tuning is now able to provide remote tuning support to anyone worldwide that has a broadband internet connection.

 The software we use allow us to control the customers PC/Laptop with our keyboard & mouse while we are able to talk on the phone. We can install software updates, as well as setup optimal paramaters to tune any variety of supported vehicle including the logging paramaters, data charts etc.  We can then explain what to do with the tune calibration via the phone and demonstrate what we are talking about virtually as good as we were there with customer.

We have tuned cars remotely while they are on the dyno. That is how advanced the system is now.

The cost of remote support is AU$150/hr using this powerful system. We have been experiencing strong demand so to get started customers need to enter our Gold support group. This is AU$600 and includes 4 hrs of quality remote support and the opportunity to purchase our base tunes for 6 months at AU$200 each including an extra 30min of support. (Forced Induction Base Tunes are extra)

Base Tunes can be purchased outside the Gold support group for $400 each and includes 30min of remote support. Forced Induction Base Tunes are extra. These base tunes are our best starting point for a good tune and are custom designed for each situation base on the information that is given. Customers who bought EFILive from Oztrack Tuning are eligible for discounts on base tunes.

A popular base tune are speed density (mafless) tunes on LS1s. We have trained numerous workshops how to do this properly so that fuel economy is optimized along with the extra smooth power delivery that is gained from a speed density tune.

LS1 Dual Timing Table Mafless Tune

This is our most popular choice of tune and usually results in a considerable gain in performance and overall fuel economy.

Dual timing table mafless tunes are now available for cars with the VT - VZ LS1/GenIII  engine at a price of just $500.

These are done using a new custom operating system made by EFILive. The usual Mafless tunes which are based on the HSV GTS tunes calibration are only able to have the lower timing table as active. This gives less ability for the engine to be protected from regular low level knock. The use of an upper and lower timing table provides the added benefit of the car being able to learn its way upward and downward rapidly between the two spark timing tables adding engine protection and also better performance in varying conditions.

 The Custom Operating system also has added tables;

  • Improved  temperature correction of the air fuel ratios.
  • The ability to specify air fuel ratios at any rpm and manifold pressure.


  
The Base Tunes have been optimized for much more than just wide open throttle. They also contain some special calibrations that usually provide a considerable improvement in mid range power and fuel economy. 


A customers car recently made 246rwkw on a dynolog dyno with one of these upgrades.
Pretty good for a LS1 with an over radiator intake, ported throttle body and metal cats. Still having the stock balancer, stock exxhaust headers and stock valve springs.  The car has also been returning great fuel economy. Better than 30MPG on a trip.  I have also seen another car make 250rwkw.

A customer Peter did 12.98/108mph in his VY SS auto at WSID, its only modifications to support the tune was that it had an over radiator intake and a good exhaust system. It even had the standard diff gears.  His son Steve has recently beaten his dads time with a 12.63/111mph in his VZ 4 speed auto LS1 stock cam, stock converter. It just has 3.9s, full exhaust and an over radiator intake.

The fuel economy record on our basic mafless tunes is 816km to a tank. Paul from Gosford did this in his VY SS ute which is a M6. Its was around 8.2L/100km for the trip from Gosford to Canberra and back, to of all things the Canberra Summernats.
Many of our customers cars can get in the 8s/100km M6 or 9s/100km A4 on a trip and we also have some inner city customers who have reduced their fuel economy from 20L/100km to 13L/100km.

Ported LS1 Heads which are increased in compression and improved via valve seats and hand porting. Heads similar to these were used on the Oztrack Clubsport to get to 11.33/119.5mph with a baby cam. 290rwkw was made with just a 216 220 cam.

The typical price is around $5750 and is paid for in three payments. Parts, Installation, Tune.
An LS1 ute M6 with Imported CNC Heads and a 232 cam recently made 338rwkw which is a huge gain over the typical well tuned stock cammed ls1 of 250rwkw. The good news is this car is still getting decent day to day fuel economy. It also went on to confirm its power at WSID where it did 11.6/121mph with conservative 1.8s launches on drag radials.

We also recently saw Dus VE 6L SSV with a 224 228 114 cam and ported heads make 349rwkw. 

Another auto VX Berlina with these heads and a low230s cam made 308rwkw through the converter. Which is an awesome result for a car thats still 346ci and A4 at that.
